Head IT Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

As the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and operations of the organization’s technology backbone—including MS Azure cloud, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk (M365 for End User Computing), client management, storage, backup, and related software.

This role requires strong leadership in enterprise infrastructure and operations, with a focus on delivering robust, secure, and scalable platforms that enable business applications, AI-driven solutions, and the future data platform.

You will manage a global delivery organization and drive innovation, operational excellence, and security in partnership with Digital Architecture, Digital Operations, and Information Security functions. The position requires a balance of technical depth and operational leadership, ensuring the infrastructure supports the organization’s digital strategy and business growth through resilient, reliable, and audit-ready services.

Key responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Leadership & Governance

• Lead the global IT Infrastructure team across multiple countries, managing a distributed workforce in six locations.
• Oversee planning, project management, and implementation of infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure in line with enterprise architecture, standards, and governance.
• Provide strategic vision for infrastructure services, leveraging innovation and emerging technologies to deliver business value.
• Ensure high availability, integrity, and security across all IT infrastructure.
• Manage service delivery through managed service providers, driving SLA adherence, cost efficiency, agility, and governance.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships that support organizational objectives.

1. Service Delivery & User Experience

• Champion service excellence and client-centricity, delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Enable a seamless digital workplace through M365 and modern support models.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, cost optimization, and service quality enhancements.
• Ensure operational excellence and KPI compliance, with a strong focus on observability, performance optimization, and proactive service management.

1. IT Operations

• Streamline IT operations via automation, standardization, and agile delivery practices.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Enable self-service through guided flows, knowledge articles, and ITSM platforms to reduce support overhead and empower users.
• Implement robust asset management for accurate tracking and lifecycle governance of IT resources.
• Drive metrics-based performance using dashboards and analytics for continuous improvement.
• Embed best practices across incident, change, and problem management.

1. Technology Enablement

• Deliver scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure using M365, MS Azure, and modern technologies—ready for AI-driven workloads and next-gen data platforms.
• Evaluate and integrate best-in-class technologies and partners to achieve strategic goals.
• Provide hands-on leadership for complex implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting, with a focus on automation.
• Design and lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including highly available server/network architectures and storage systems.
• Strengthen security through unified monitoring, access control, multi-factor authentication, and policy-driven safeguards—ensuring end-to-end protection.

1. Collaboration

• Collaborate with Digital Architecture, Application Development, Security, and Operations teams to ensure infrastructure enables enterprise-wide capabilities.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture and business system planning, assessing cost, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.

1. Financial Management

• Own and manage the budget for infrastructure operations and transformation, ensuring cost control and value delivery.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with:

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or global delivery role.
• Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating secure, large-scale, highly available IT infrastructure—including MS Azure and M365.
• Experience leading distributed teams and managing delivery through managed services partners to drive efficiency, agility, and scalability.
• Strong track record of aligning infrastructure strategy and delivery with business outcomes, supporting architecture, security, development, operations, and data initiatives.
• Solid expertise in budget management and cost control.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (MS Azure), networking, server and storage management, disaster recovery, and end-user computing (M365).
• Experience establishing and governing enterprise infrastructure standards, operational processes, and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Passion for automation and AI, with experience building infrastructure to support AI-driven and data-centric platforms.
• Commitment to embedding security and resilience into all aspects of design, operations, and governance, ensuring protection against evolving threats.
• Strong working knowledge of compliance and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and Zero Trust principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
• An innovative, business-oriented mindset with a passion for emerging technologies, continuous improvement, and building high-performance teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL Expert, or those in cloud, infrastructure, or security are a strong advantage.
