Job Description : Senior Engineer - Web Application Firewall (WAF), Citrix, NetScaler


Location : Pune, India

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer specializing in Web Application Firewall (WAF), Citrix, and NetScaler technologies to join our team in Pune.


The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining WAF solutions, along with strong proficiency in Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler) deployment and management.


This role demands a deep understanding of network security principles and practical hands-on experience in managing enterprise-level infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :


- Design, deploy, and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions across multiple environments.


- Configure and optimize Citrix ADC (Netscaler) appliances for efficient application delivery and traffic management.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate WAF and Citrix ADC solutions into existing networks and applications.


- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues related to WAF and Citrix ADC deployments.


- Implement security policies and access controls to safeguard critical applications and data.


- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.


- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.


Required Skills and Experience :


- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.


- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in deploying and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.


- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Citrix ADC (Netscaler) appliances in complex environments.


- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and best practices.


- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and monitoring.


- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all Qualifications :


- Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N) or equivalent certification.


- Experience with cloud-based WAF solutions (e.g., AWS WAF, Azure Application Gateway).


- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).


- Understanding of DDoS mitigation techniques and strategies.


- Experience with load balancing technologies and global server load balancing (GSLB).
