Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for the Head of Information Technology, based in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The selected candidate will lead the IT department, develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy, ensure the optimal performance of IT operations, and oversee the maintenance, security, and enhancement of the IT infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include managing IT systems, implementing new technologies, ensuring compliance with international data protection standards, and collaborating across departments to achieve organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, manage, and oversee all IT operations across the factory and corporate office.
  • Develop and implement effective IT strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure, ensuring high uptime and system reliability.
  • Manage Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, user access control, file sharing, backups, and server security.
  • Oversee network administration, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, managed switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi network performance.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of internet connectivity, bandwidth management, link redundancy, and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise CCTV systems, including NVR/DVR maintenance, camera health monitoring, storage management, remote access setup, and security audits.
  • Maintain hardware assets—computers, printers, biometric systems, routers, and other peripherals.
  • Ensure timely installation, configuration, and updating of operating systems and business software.
  • Implement strong cybersecurity protocols—firewall rules, antivirus, data encryption, and periodic security assessments.
  • Ensure data backup, recovery systems, and disaster management processes are in place.
  • Coordinate with vendors for IT purchases, AMC contracts, and critical system support.
  • Support ERP solutions, production software, and automation systems used in seafood processing.
  • Troubleshoot daily IT issues and provide hands-on support to end users.
  • Monitor network security logs, access control, and unauthorized device usage.
  • Prepare IT budgets and lead cost-efficient technology improvements.



Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Information Technology and IT Management.
  • Strong experience in IT Operations, IT Strategy, and Infrastructure Management.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, and server roles.
  • Experience managing network infrastructure, CCTV systems, firewalls, and IT security frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in seafood processing / food manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Good understanding of IT compliance and documentation for audit requirements.
