Job Title: Data Platform Practice Lead

Location: Pune

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Practice Lead to drive the strategic vision, design, and implementation of our enterprise data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep technical expertise across data engineering, cloud platforms, and analytics, to build scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Data Platform practice, including defining strategy, architecture standards, and technology roadmap.
  • Oversee the design and development of end-to-end data solutions — ingestion, storage, processing, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement modern data technologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Establish governance, quality, and security standards across all data platforms.
  • Lead large-scale data modernization, migration, and cloud adoption programs.
  • Mentor and guide data engineers, architects, and analysts to build technical excellence within the practice.
  • Manage delivery of multiple data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or practice lead role managing teams and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proven experience with data lake, data warehouse, and ETL/ELT architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, etc.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and metadata management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and DataOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Data Analytics Specialty, Azure Data Engineer, GCP Professional Data Engineer).
  • Experience in implementing AI/ML data pipelines or real-time analytics solutions.
