Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and cloud-native tools.
  • Implement and automate data ingestion using Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
  • Utilize SnowSQL for query development, data loading/unloading, and administrative tasks.
  • Design and manage data models, schemas, and warehouses following Snowflake’s best practices.
  • Leverage Time Travel and Cloning features for data recovery, auditing, and testing.
  • Optimize query performance through clustering, micro-partitioning, and result caching.
  • Manage user roles, security policies, and data governance within Snowflake.
  • Orchestrate workflows using Airflow, DBT, or Matillion and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and analytics teams for data delivery, monitoring, and optimization.


Required Skills & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform and Python.
  • Proficient in Snowflake components & features:
  • SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Query Optimization, Virtual Warehouses, Resource Monitors, Data Sharing, and Data Marketplace.
  • Strong SQL programming skills and experience in ETL design, data transformation, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with AWS Preferred or other major cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on with Git-based version control and agile data delivery practices.
  • Familiarity with semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
