Job Description: Manager – Sports Operations, Sports Excellence Programme (SEP)


Location: Delhi

Role Overview

The Manager at SEP will play a key role in coordinating, implementing, and monitoring the Sports Excellence Programme across assigned sports. This position requires close collaboration with coaches, performance staff, athletes, and internal teams to ensure seamless programme execution and alignment with SEP’s high-performance vision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Operations & Coordination

Oversee day-to-day operations of the Sports Excellence Programme across designated sports.

Ensure smooth implementation of training plans, performance initiatives, and programme milestones.

Coordinate with coaches, performance specialists, and administrative teams to support operational needs.

  • Athlete Management

Manage athlete schedules, training camps, competition logistics, and support services.

Coordinate travel, accommodation, documentation, and other logistics in collaboration with relevant departments.

Handle athlete contracts, compliance requirements, and onboarding/offboarding processes.

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting

Monitor and track athlete development, training data, and competition performance.

Prepare periodic performance and progress reports for management review.

Maintain accurate and updated athlete databases and performance logs.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

Serve as a key liaison between SEP, external partners, federations, and event organizers.

Facilitate effective communication between coaches, support staff, and operational teams.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic Support & Programme Development

Support talent identification initiatives and long-term strategic planning.

Assist in programme evaluation and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and workflows.

Provide operational insights to drive athlete performance optimisation.


Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sports Science, Business Administration, or related field.

3–6 years of experience in sports operations, athlete management, or high-performance programme coordination.

Strong understanding of high-performance environments and multi-sport ecosystems.

Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and athlete/performance tracking tools (preferred).
