Position Title: Accounts Executive

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: NUCS, Hyderabad

Reports To: Manager – Accounts / Registrar

Employment Type: Full-time


Position Overview:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, assisting in statutory compliances, and supporting the overall financial management of NUCS, Hyderabad. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to institutional financial policies, and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP system.
  • Process and record all receipts, payments, journals, and ledgers accurately.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and other control accounts.
  • Handle petty cash management and maintain related documentation.

2. Payroll & Reimbursements

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processing in alignment with HR data.
  • Verify claims, reimbursements, and advances as per institutional policy.
  • Assist in maintaining employee-related financial records.

3. Vendor & Expense Management

  • Process vendor invoices with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Manage vendor payments and maintain payment schedules.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment or billing discrepancies.



4. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (TDS, GST, PF, Professional Tax, etc.).
  • Prepare and assist in submission of monthly/quarterly statutory returns.
  • Support internal and external audits through documentation and reconciliations.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports as required by management.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with the central finance team for budget tracking and reporting.
  • Support campus-level procurement and administrative financial documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, preferably in an educational or institutional setup.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP or similar accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
