Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake to support large-scale data migrations from legacy systems.
  • Leverage Python for data transformations, automation, and orchestration of migration workflows.
  • Optimize and refactor complex SQL queries to ensure efficient processing and reporting.
  • Collaborate on data modeling and schema design aligned with Snowflake’s architecture and performance best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance during and post-migration phases.
  • Partner with analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and business-ready data delivery.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, security policies, and access controls within Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate data workflows into CI/CD pipelines.


Required Skills & Expertise

  • 5 years+ of experience in data engineering, with proven expertise in Snowflake and Python.
  • Strong command of Snowflake features: scripting, time travel, virtual warehouses, query optimization.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data integration strategies, and migration methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, normalization, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures.
  • Hands-on with Airflow, DBT, or Matillion for ETL orchestration.
  • Ability to work with semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet).
  • Strong SQL optimization and debugging skills.
  • Experience with Git-based version control (branching, merging, pull requests).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
