ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Senior ISD will be a key member of our capability/talent development team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality and engaging learning artifacts and services/products. This role entails in-depth knowledge of instructional systems design principles and methodologies, experience with learning authoring tools and LMS/LXPs, and the ability to create effective learning experiences that strategically incorporate elements of games and gamification, explore immersive technologies, and leverage new learning technologies to enhance learner engagement and outcomes across both macro learning programs and targeted micro learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be culturally sensitive and design accessible learning for diverse learners.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Learning Experience Design:
- Apply learning theories and instructional models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to design engaging macro and micro learning programs, integrating game-based learning, gamification, and immersive technologies. Optimize learner experience through human-centric design.
Compelling Content Creation & Adaptation:
- Develop original, accurate content (text, video, interactive elements) for macro and micro learning. Source, structure, and adapt content for diverse formats and cultures, leveraging gamification and immersive tech. Use AI tools (e.g., Grammarly) for efficiency.
Culturally Intelligent & Inclusive Design:
- Ensure content is culturally sensitive and inclusive, collaborating with SMEs for appropriateness. Address linguistic nuances and accessibility, including for games and immersive experiences in all learning formats.
Digital Learning Development & Deployment:
- Use e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) to create interactive modules, incorporating gamification and immersive elements. Manage LMS content integration and seamlessly embed multimedia for macro and micro learning.
Excellence in Quality & Impact:
- Implement QA processes, testing functionality, usability, and accessibility across devices (including immersive hardware). Gather learner feedback to refine engagement strategies for games and immersive content.
Strategic Thinking:
- Align learning solutions with organizational goals, advocating for games, gamification, and immersive tech where appropriate in macro and micro learning strategies.
Resourcefulness & Agile Delivery:
- Resolve challenges in capability development, adapting to evolving needs and integrating new tech ideas across learning formats.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Work effectively with teams, SMEs, and customers to design and implement games and immersive experiences for all learning scales.
Communication & Influence:
- Clearly convey ideas to stakeholders, highlighting the benefits of games and immersive tech in learning solutions.
Developing Others:
- Guide team members on game design, immersive tech, and new learning applications for macro and micro learning.
Program/Project Leadership & Partnership:
- Lead learning projects end-to-end, including those with game or immersive components. Engage stakeholders proactively on tech integration.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced degree (Master’s required, PhD preferred) in ISD, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Game Design, HCI, or a related field, with expertise in ISD methodologies, AR/VR, and game-based learning.
- 12+ years of experience leading the strategic development of complex e-learning solutions, applying ISD models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile ISD) and innovative technologies in customer-facing roles.
- Strong knowledge of learning theories, human-centric design, CRM, and emerging tech (AR/VR, game design, AI-powered tools, and learning analytics).
- Proven leadership in managing product teams, engaging customers, and delivering inclusive, accessible global learning experiences.
- Strategic thinker with excellent project management (including Agile), communication, and presentation skills, particularly in advocating for new learning technologies.
- Commitment to cultural intelligence and accessibility in games/immersive tech.
- Willingness to travel and deep understanding of learning trends, ISD applications, and macro/micro learning best practices.
