Engagement Manager

We are seeking an Engagement Manager based in India to lead and coordinate data analytics and AI engagements for strategic enterprise clients across global markets.
This is a high-impact, business-facing role with significant exposure to senior client stakeholders and Straive leadership. You will be responsible for understanding client needs and shaping problem statements, managing multiple workstreams, leading technical and business teams, and also managing internal growth and thought leadership initiatives.
The ideal candidate is:
- Strong on business acumen and knowledge (business value drivers, operations and KPIs)
- Able to quickly learn new industries and business domains
- Fluent in working with data & analytics teams, even if not a hands-on data scientist
- Highly proficient with PowerPoint and Excel for storylining, analysis, and client-ready deliverables
- Comfortable interfacing with CXO / VP-level stakeholders and internal senior management
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Planning, Delivery & Multi-Engagement Management
- Define and manage engagement charters, delivery plans, and milestones across one or more concurrent workstreams/clients.
- Coordinate work across multiple accounts between business and delivery teams to ensure aligned, timely delivery.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and lead mitigation planning across accounts.

Client & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with both business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives, constraints, and success metrics.
- Translate unstructured client questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and analytical workplans.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Proposal Writing, Account Growth & Thought Leadership
- Lead or contribute to proposal development, RFP responses, and SOW creation for new and existing clients.
- Identify new opportunity areas where data, analytics, and AI can deliver incremental value for existing clients.
- Support senior leaders with roadmaps, business cases, and executive-level presentations.
- Contribute to internal playbooks and accelerators by codifying learnings, templates, and best practices from engagements.
Senior Management Interface & Internal Leadership
- Work closely with Straive senior management on strategic accounts and high-visibility initiatives.
- Represent the engagement in internal reviews, governance forums, and leadership discussions.
- Coach junior team members on problem-solving, communication, and client management.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of total experience including at least 2 years of post-MBA experience across industries, strategy consulting, analytics consulting, or technology-enabled transformation roles.
- Strong business understanding and ability to quickly learn new industry verticals and business functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing client projects or workstreams, preferably involving data, analytics, or digital transformation.
- Proven ability to structure and drive problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint (storylining, executive presentations) and Excel (analyses, scenarios, simple models).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior business and technology stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at leading consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain; relevant experience at Big Four or other top-tier consulting/analytics firms is also valuable.
- MBA from a top-tier institute (e.g., IIMs, ISB)
- Experience working with global teams and clients across time zones.
