Job Title: Printer Hardware & BarTender Integration Technician

Locations: PAN INDIA

Job Description:

Overview

We are looking for a Printer Hardware & BarTender Integration Technician to support enterprise printing environment. This role is responsible for configuring and maintaining printer hardware, resolving connectivity and performance issues, and ensuring smooth integration with BarTender label-printing solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience with thermal label printers, and familiarity with BarTender-based workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Printer Hardware Configuration & Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain thermal label printers and related hardware.
  • Manage printer firmware updates and driver installations.
  • Ensure printers are properly set up for optimal DPI, media type, ribbon, and printing conditions.

2. Printer Connectivity & Performance Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve printer connectivity issues across USB, network, and wireless connections.
  • Investigate performance issues such as print quality degradation, slow printing, queuing failures, and misalignment.
  • Work with IT teams to troubleshoot network configuration, IP conflicts, and server-related print problems.
  • Document root causes and implement preventive measures to reduce downtime.

3. BarTender Solution Integration Support

  • Support integration of printer hardware with BarTender label-printing solutions.
  • Validate that printers are correctly configured for BarTender workflows, templates, and data sources.
  • Assist in testing label outputs to ensure accuracy, readability, and compliance with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with BarTender developers, IT, and operations teams to resolve print-related issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with thermal label printers (Honeywell)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to hardware, drivers, network connectivity, and print quality.
  • Familiarity with BarTender or other label-printing software solutions.
  • Ability to read and apply technical diagrams, manuals, and configuration guides.
  • Experience working with Windows print servers, printer queues, and device management tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of BarTender Designer or Print Station is a plus.
  • Knowledge of barcode printing standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments (Active Directory, network protocols, VPNs, etc.).
