Job Description:

As a System Administrator you are responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing and supporting a compaLANs, WANs, Internet, and intranet systems, as well asnys computer systems. Designs and installs LANS, WANS, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of Windows server.
  • Avoiding server downtime through scheduled maintenance, ensuring server security, and assisting staff in connecting to the server
  • Backing up server data
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
  • Administration of Web portals
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software, Analyze and isolate issues.
  • Identify user needs. Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Determine network and system requirements.
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Administer Windows Servers (e.g., AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and more) to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Maintaining records of software licenses
  • Experience installing any Linux distribution
  • Installation & configuration of Web server - Apache & NGINX
  • Installation & configuration of DB servers - MySQL / Postgres / Mongo DB
  • Setup SSL certificate for Apache & NGINX
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to plan and execute infrastructure projects.
