We're looking for an individual to join the Investment Bank and Non Core Legacy (IB & NCL) Technology Business Management team to support the Operational Management and broader Business Management (BM) function in achieving its goals with an emphasis on ensuring smooth day to day operations and analytical insight to help support decision making.

Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting the monthly financial forecasting exercise, liaising with colleagues across the IB & NCL Technology BM team and partner with Finance teams to validate and build out the IB & NCL Technology forecast, managing database updates and providing analysis on / challenging material movements.
  • Involvement in month-end activities leading up to the monthly flash, including accrual attestations, coordinating and reviewing database updates, reviewing financials over the month end close period to help ensure the accuracy of the final position and explain variations to forecast.
  • Supporting the monthly reporting cycle including the production of the Monthly MI deck that is reviewed with IB senior Management and any other regular or adhoc reporting requirements.
  • Analyzing and articulating the cost driver for the variance for the cost lines.
  • Working with a variety of stakeholders both within the IB & NCL Chief Business Office function as well as the wider IB & NCL Technology team, Global Technology COO group and other stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Investment Bank etc.
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis or support related to business & operating management initiatives
  • Identify process improvements, efficiencies and automation.
Your team

You'll be working in the IB & NCL Technology Financial Planning and Workforce Management team in India alongside colleagues in the broader IB & NCL Technology Business Management team.

We provide a broad variety of services to ensure that IB & NCL Technology performs effectively whilst keeping alignment with our strategic priorities and financial targets.

Your expertise

  • Financial /Accounting knowledge - ideally holding an accountancy qualification
  • 10-15 years of experience working on financial forecasting, month end activities, support the monthly reporting cycle, preparation of Monthly MI deck for senior management, ad-hoc analysis and support, process improvements and efficiencies, preferably in a Technology aligned or a finance business partner role.
  • A 'can do positive attitude' and ability to adapt and remain agile as needs require
  • Sell organised and able to juggle many tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on own initiative as well within a team
  • Strong team player and demonstrated ability to contribute to team goals
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to creatively solve problems, evaluate new ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Accustomed to executing tasks in a timely manner, under tight deadlines and with a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work and interact with colleagues across different locations and at different levels
