About the role:
This position plays a key role in enhancing the internal control environment for the Global Business Services (GBS) division. Reporting to the global process steward within the quality, risk, and controls team, you will engage with auditors, service delivery, and various business stakeholders, offering high visibility to GBS management. The ideal candidate is meticulous, logical, organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eager to learn, adept at business partnerships, possesses excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, is a self-starter, capable of managing multiple projects, and embraces a mindset of continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Quickly grasp GBS business processes such as order to cash, payroll, source to pay, robotic process automation, account to report, fixed assets, and related IT systems to assess process risks and controls
- Contribute to enhancing the GBS environment through risk and control initiatives
- Communicate on risk and control matters, including meeting deadlines, scorecards, policy updates, process revisions, audit status, and other relevant activities
- Collaborate with the BSC business continuity team to enhance the GBS Continuity Program
- Develop and implement corrective and enhancement strategies where required
- Act as a liaison with Global BSC resources to strengthen the GBS Control Environment
- Create and deliver training materials
- Evaluate the adequacy of the internal control environment, including process efficiency/effectiveness, IT control operations, compliance with company policies and external regulations, and other relevant areas as needed
- Assess the sufficiency of controls in various technology platforms, including new systems as necessary
- Drive annual improvement of the quality, risk, and controls environment
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft suites (O365, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and adaptability to learn new systems
- Creative, innovative, with excellent business partnering abilities
- Demonstrates integrity, accuracy, and establishes credibility
- Outstanding research, planning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent presentation and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented and focused on achieving results
