To work closely with the Commercial BCM Consultant in BT Global who will ensure full alignment of the planning principles to: customer's requirements, BT Group strategies & ISO22301 principles.


  • The Company Business Resilience & Recovery Programme aims to ensure enterprise-wide preparedness to respond to incidents and events that may impact business objectives. Underpinning the program is "Corporate", "Product Group", "Site, "Regional" and "Functions"' business continuity planning.
  • IS&T is responsible for ensuring the appropriate IT Service Continuity Management of its IS&T managed services and systems in order to support business continuity planning. IS&T requires the Supplier to support IT Service Continuity Management for relevant IS&T-managed services and systems.
  • Business impact analysis assists in determining the critical business activities and associated resource requirements to ensure operational resilience and continuity of operations during and after a business disruption that may prevent normal completion of work tasks.
Business impact analysis has identified high impact, urgent business activities relevant to the RFP, including:

(i) Monitoring and managing critical network activity to maintain responsiveness and connectivity;

(iii) Evaluating and remediating root cause of network congestion, particularly those that relate to safety;
(iv) Providing support for board meetings and commercial / investment meetings;
(v) Responding to and analysing potential or actual cyber-attack; and
(vi) Emergency patching for high exposure cyber vulnerabilities

  • 6. To act as a single point of contact for capturing & collating the BCM processes
  • To co-ordinate and capture BIA/RA details
  • To capture the Incident Management processes along with key contacts
  • To devise a critical systems list with clear lines of ownership for each one
  • To devise a test plan for ALL critical dependencies (people, building, systems & suppliers)
  • To provide the necessary post
- exercise reports to the customer

  • To work with Supplier to ensure their BCM plans are in place & meet the customer's requirements
  • To agree an exercise plan with the Suppliers - the exercise objectives to be agreed with key stakeholders
  • To devise & agree with the customer a BCM reporting process which meet the contractual requirements
  • To ensure ALL employees on the critical services have full knowledge of the BCM processes.
  • Experience in managing BCM contractual requirements/obligations

What you'll be doing

  • To work closely with the Commercial BCM Consultant in BT who will ensure full alignment of the planning principles to: customer's requirements, BT Group strategies & ISO22301 principles.
  • Business impact analysis assists in determining the critical business activities and associated resource requirements to ensure operational resilience and continuity of operations during and after a business disruption that may prevent normal completion of work tasks.
  • Supports in the resolution of process and service issues by liaising with different teams, communicating key information to other stakeholders as required.
  • Delivers accurate and timely reporting and related insights in respect of key performance metrics and operational efficiency.
  • Supports incident management, prioritisation and diagnostics, and escalates complex customer issues or incidents to operational managers.
  • Maintains professional relationship with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Carries out the Service Operations initiatives and ensures that services are aligned to the client's business requirements.
  • Executes work in the implementation of tactical strategies and improvement plans.
  • Supports the operational effectiveness of support services and maintains contractual and delivery documentation with accuracy and keeping details up to date.
