We're seeking an experienced systems administrator who's eager to further develop technological skills on a worldwide stage.This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall Platform & Core Services strategy.
The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates realworld solutions for the global marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain essential technology infrastructure both OnPrem and Cloud-based, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, software and hardwareTake responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiativesHandle business-critical technology tasks for systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplaceEnable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights into those processesWork with internal and external partners to communicate status, activities and achievementsPerform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlesslyMonitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to infrastructure issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new infrastructure when neededManage cloud-based internal infrastructure requirements, including servers, inter-account connectivity, firewalls, security updatesManage system requirements, including performance and availabilityPerform troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when neededPerform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backupsQUALIFICATIONS
Multiple years of experience in an admin role in Technology or Engineering for both OnPrem and Cloud-based environmentsExperience and interest in data analysis (preferably with the ability to query data using SQL)Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and cachingExperience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS)Expertise in analyzing and resolving issues with large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applicationsAbility to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple work streams simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work within aggressive schedulesAbility to analyze and evaluate problems, offer solutions and determine when more help is required or when escalation is necessarySuperior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email)Action-oriented, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environmentTime management skills and attention to detailAbility to work as part of a team and interact effectively with othersPositive attitude, team player, self-starter; takes initiative, ability to work independently
