NGO Profile:

This humanitarian NGO, inspired by Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda, was established in 2003 by a distinguished alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta.

Recognized with the 2011 National Award for Child Welfare, the organization operates extensively in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. In West Bengal, it runs two of the state's largest residential institutions, supporting about 2100 underprivileged children.

In Madhya Pradesh, it provides supplementary education and nutritious meals to over 55,000 tribal children across 709 centers, manages four residential institutions for 1250 tribal children, and operates 94 ambulances, 13 mobile health clinics, and numerous eye camps, significantly impacting healthcare and education for lakhs in remote areas.


Job Overview:


As the Associate/Assistant Manager for Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising, you will lead the NGO's effort in nurturing meaningful corporate and institutional collaborations by supporting the leadership, as well as securing essential funding to advance our mission of positive social transformation.

This diverse role requires a blend of business development acumen, proposal crafting skills, deal management expertise, and commitment to advancing impactful initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Gather project data, track maintenance progress, and provide realtime updates to the central operations team.
  • Act as the primary connection for the NGO, building strong relationships with corporate partners and gaining insight into their specific program needs.
  • Work closely with NGO leadership to craft customized fundraising proposals that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships with domestic institutions, including grantmaking foundations, High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), philanthropic trusts, CSR initiatives, and multilateral agencies.
  • Take ownership of lead generation, pitching, MOU drafting, managing deals, and onboarding funding collaborations.
  • Continuously research and develop potential donors and funding opportunities for various initiatives and programs.
  • Collaboratively set up efficient systems/processes to ensure partnerships reach their full potential in terms of engagement, volunteering, and funding opportunities yearround.
  • Effectively manage program budgets and provide transparent and timely reporting to donors.
  • Coordinate team efforts to ensure seamless execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
  • Implement selfsustaining practices for the retention of existing donors and growing grant/donation sizes.
  • Adopt a collaborative and resultsoriented team culture centered around partner satisfaction and impact.
  • Manage data and analytics on progress, monitoring of pipelines and prospects outreach. Maintain and update funding trackers, as well as records for MOUs, proposals, and prospect/retention databases.
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate acknowledgement of all grant income and maintain accurate, uptodate information.
  • Support the leadership and other functional teams with information and external communications needs.
  • Find effective ways to present and communicate positive results and outcomes.
  • Gather project data, monitor project progress, and support the leadership team with realtime updates.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Recent management graduates from any specialization, with 03 years of experience preferred. Postgraduates and/or professionals from socialworks background will be given preference.
  • Freshers from backgrounds in management or communication or social work are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in networking and building relationships.
  • Skilled in MS Office apps, and basic number crunching.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent presentation skills.
  • Prior exposure to nonprofit organizations working is advantageous but not mandatory
