Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Freight Forwarding Sales team. The Freight Forwarding Sales Head will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic initiatives, and expanding our client base in the freight forwarding industry. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record of success in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth in the freight forwarding segment.

2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed sales targets. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team success.

3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects in the freight forwarding industry. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients.

4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to inform sales strategies and tactics.

5. Proposal Development: Work closely with the sales team to develop customized proposals and solutions that meet the needs of clients and address their logistics challenges.

6. Performance Tracking: Implement sales performance metrics and KPIs to track progress against goals. Analyze sales data and provide regular reports to management.

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments such as operations, customer service, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

8. Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and identify new business opportunities.

9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing freight forwarding operations and sales activities.

10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, optimize resource allocation, and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the freight forwarding industry.

3. Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the freight forwarding or logistics sector.

4. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver results.

5. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients.

6. Deep understanding of freight forwarding operations, industry trends, and market dynamics.

7. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with organizational goals.

8. Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

9. Willingness to travel as needed.
