Job Title: Business Development Lead, China In-Licensing and Strategic Alliances

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Lead to drive in-licensing and strategic alliance initiatives for China Market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical licensing, with extensive experience in negotiating and executing partnerships to expand our portfolio of products and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of in-licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical formulations in alignment with company strategy and market needs.
  • and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and government agencies, to explore potential partnership opportunities.
  • comprehensive market analysis to assess market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities for pharmaceutical products in China.
  • and execute licensing agreements, strategic alliances, and collaboration agreements to acquire rights to novel drug formulations, technologies, or products.
  • with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, legal, and commercial, to assess the feasibility and strategic fit of potential partnerships.
  • due diligence activities, including financial analysis, technical evaluation, and risk assessment, to inform decision making and mitigate risks associated with licensing agreements.
  • and implement business development strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets and drive market penetration in China.
  • leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture within the business development team.

Qualifications :

  • degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • of 8-10 years of experience in business development, licensing, or strategic alliances within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on pharmaceutical formulations.
  • track record of successfully negotiating and executing licensing agreements and strategic partnerships in China, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • understanding of the pharmaceutical market landscape in China, including regulatory requirements, market access dynamics, and healthcare trends.
  • interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • thinker with the ability to analyse market data, identify opportunities, and develop innovative business development strategies.
  • leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
