About the department

You'll become part of our Global Finance team located in Bangalore. Established in 2007, our department supports Accounting, Finance & Procurement, and Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, Europe, North America, International Operations (IO), and GBS Bangalore. Our aim is to consistently deliver excellent service to our stakeholders and enhance processes through standardization and efficiency.

The role

As a Team Leader for Cash Application (Order2Cash) in Finance GBS, your main goal is to meet the targets set by O2C for Cash Apps, focusing on O2C tasks. In this capacity, you will:

  • Supervise the performance of Cash Applications teams within O2C Finance GBS, including KPI reporting.
  • Showcase strong compliance skills, conducting thorough analysis, questioning existing methods, and promoting the implementation of innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate and contribute to accounting processes and projects with significant financial statement implications and exposure.
  • Interact proactively with customers of O2C support teams in Finance GBS.
  • Act as a Specialist for Customers/Finance/Assets/Treasury & Local Finance Teams, overseeing In House Bank / In House Bank Lite and Cash applications posting.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely closure of Customer Cash against open items, coordinating with Local Finance teams on operational activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Focus on developing expertise in Cash Applications and other relevant areas, with a deep understanding of Cash Applications System / Processes and Open items and reconciliations activities.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of Pharma product/Regulatory/Artwork and lifecycle events, ensuring the provision and maintenance of clean customer master and process in accordance with applicable SOPs/WPs.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, we seek a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Over 6 years of experience in Cash Apps and related areas in O2C.
  • Competence in auditing and managing activities related to Cash Applications / Reconciliation / Treasury / Receivables Management / Credit Risk.
  • Ability in performing data profiling and quality assessment of source systems.
  • Capacity to troubleshoot errors related to master data transitions efficiently.
  • Participation in continuous improvement projects within shared services.
  • Understanding the impact of Cash processes on downstream and upstream processes / Metrics (e.g. DSO / Working Capital / Open Receivables / Risk Exposure).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance module (FI) and low/no code applications is advantageous.
