About the department:

The Commercial & Corporate Affairs - Global Business Services (GBS) unit plays a crucial role in supporting various areas within Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs. This includes responsibilities in Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, and Commercial Operations. In the market access sector, we are a team of dedicated individuals striving to ensure that innovative solutions developed by Novo Nordisk reach millions of people worldwide. Our goal is to make these life-saving products accessible to as many individuals as possible at a fair price and in a timely manner. We are actively involved in both launching new products and managing existing ones.

The Position:

We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of managing payer-relevant real-world evidence studies that are essential for driving market access readiness for upcoming products and maintaining/expanding access for Novo Nordisk's current product portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing these studies using insights gathered from real-world data sources, both commercial and open-source. The key responsibilities include generating robust real-world evidence to support market access activities throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle. This involves conducting various types of analyses such as epidemiological studies, healthcare resource cost assessments, adherence and persistence analyses. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently overseeing the entire process of real-world evidence generation studies, from planning and execution to delivering results within established timelines. Additionally, they will provide guidance on real-world data sources to PEG Managers at headquarters, as well as support the development of publication materials for major international and national conferences. Furthermore, the candidate will explore innovative data sources and analytical tools like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their work.

  • Coordinate with PEG Manager to design study analysis plan and execute feasibility analysis.
  • Conduct data and statistical programming using tools such as SQL, SAS, and R.
  • Review and approve publication materials related to conducted studies.
  • Prepare analysis cohorts based on internal commercial databases.
  • Lead Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence projects independently from inception to dissemination of results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in data analytics/science, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience working on patient data, epidemiological studies, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with product evidence generation strategies and collaborative work across functions.
  • Preferred experience in end-to-end machine learning projects.
  • Experience in brainstorming, designing, executing, and communicating study/project ideas.
  • Desirable background in contributing to medical publications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
