About the department
The Commercial & Corporate Affairs – Global Business Services (GBS) division plays a crucial role in delivering outcomes for various areas under Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs, overseeing aspects such as Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, and Commercial Operations. The Role
As the individual in this position, you will be responsible for overseeing real-world evidence studies relevant to payers, aiming to support market access readiness for upcoming products and maintain/enhance access to our existing in-line brands. Your key tasks will include designing and conducting real-world evidence studies by gleaning insights from real-world data, utilizing both commercial and open-source data outlets. Your focus will be on generating strong real-world evidence to underpin market access initiatives pre-launch, during launch, and post-launch phases. This will involve conducting various analyses such as epidemiological assessments (incidence, prevalence), healthcare resource utilization and cost studies, as well as adherence and persistence analyses. You will independently drive the execution of end-to-end studies on real-world evidence generation, closely monitoring project milestones and ensuring timely delivery. Additionally, you will provide guidance to PEG Managers at our headquarters on real-world data sources, their strengths, limitations, and offer support for preparing publication materials for prominent international and national conferences. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to leverage innovative data sources and advanced analytics such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
- Collaborate with PEG Manager to formulate study analysis plans.
- Perform data and statistical programming tasks using SQL, SAS, or R.
- Create analysis cohorts based on internal EMR/claims databases.
- Lead Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence projects independently from conceptualization to execution and dissemination of results.
Qualifications
- Background in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field at Bachelor's/Masters level.
- Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in data analytics/science, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting sector.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in working on patient data, epidemiological studies, and statistical analysis.
- Exposure to evidence generation strategies for products and cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferably experienced in end-to-end machine learning projects.
- Experience in brainstorming new ideas, project design, execution, and communication.
- Previous involvement in medical publications is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
