About the department

The Global Business Services (GBS) unit of Commercial & Corporate Affairs is tasked with delivering impactful results for various areas under the Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs division, covering essential aspects like Insulin, GLP-1, Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning, and Commercial Operations. In the realm of market access, we are a dedicated team working tirelessly to ensure that countless individuals in numerous therapeutic areas have access to groundbreaking solutions and technologies developed by Novo Nordisk. Our goal is to make our products globally accessible to as many people as possible at the right price and at the earliest opportunity. We drive and oversee projects for a robust portfolio encompassing both new launches and the management of existing brands.

The Position

As a crucial part of our team, you will be tasked with overseeing real-world evidence studies that are vital for paving the way towards market access readiness for upcoming products and for maintaining/expanding access to the existing Novo Nordisk lineup. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing these studies by deriving valuable insights from real-world data sources, both commercial and open-source. You will generate solid real-world evidence to support various market access activities before, during, and after product launches, focusing on areas such as epidemiological analysis, healthcare resource costs, adherence, and more. With a high degree of autonomy, you will drive the end-to-end process of generating real-world evidence studies, ensuring timely project milestones and offering guidance on real-world data sources to HQ PEG Managers.

  • Collaborate with PEG Manager to formulate study analysis plans
  • Undertake data and statistical programming tasks utilizing tools like SQL, SAS, and R
  • Prepare analysis cohorts based on internal EMR and claims databases
  • Explore opportunities for utilizing innovative data sources and analytics like Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
  • Lead Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence projects independently, from conception to implementation and sharing results
Qualification
  • Hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree in fields like Biostatistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Public Health, or related areas
  • Have at least 9-10 years of experience in data analytics/science, with a preference for pharmaceutical industry background
  • Possess a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in patient data, epidemiological studies, and statistical analysis
  • Demonstrate exposure to product evidence generation strategies and cross-functional collaboration
  • Previous involvement in end-to-end machine learning projects is desirable
  • Experience in conceptualizing, designing, executing, and communicating for studies/projects is preferred
  • Contribution to medical publications is a plus
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential
