Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant General Manager Human Resources at City Union Bank Ltd. in Chennai.

The Assistant General Manager HR will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR tasks, including HR management, formulating HR policies, human resource development, and employee relations.

The role will also involve collaborating with different teams to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes.

Qualifications
Any Bachelor's degree with MBA in Human Resources Management , or related field.
HR certification will be an added advantage. (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

Experience
Minimum experience of 15 years in HR domain is required for this role.
Exposure in wide areas of the HR domain will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
Support recruitment efforts by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.
Oversee employee on-boarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
Manage employee relations issues by providing guidance, counseling, and conflict resolution support to managers and staff.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, timekeeping, and attendance records.
Assist in conducting training sessions on topics.
Handle HR-related inquiries and requests from employees, managers, and external partners in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with the HR Team to analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and strategic initiatives.
Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, HRIS implementation, and organizational development efforts.
Stay updated on HR laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.

Desired Skills:
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office Suite, and other HR software applications.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function.
