What are we looking for ?

We are looking for a seasoned professional Corporate Travel Manager to join and lead our Travel Desk team. Our corporate travel manager doesn't just handle travel arrangements; they should be strategic thinkers and be able to create travel policies according to the company's needs.

The responsibilities of the Corporate Travel Manager include optimising our travel operations, managing all related travel expense responsibilities (preparing budget reports and staying with a budget), taking ownership of visa management, making and providing guidance on travel arrangements, keeping our Policies and Procedures up to date, and managing travel authorization processes.

A successful Corporate Travel Manager should have a strong working knowledge of travel management processes, visa processing guidelines across various geographies and has in depth knowledge of utilising points systems to gain the best fares and quality of travel. Ultimately, a top-notch Corporate Travel Manager is skilled at maintaining positive relationships with embassies, airlines, and hotels and at providing a smooth travel experience for our travellers.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in tourism, travel or hospitality is required for corporate travel managers
  • Knowledge of travel management processes
  • Knowledge of Visa management processes
  • Established relationships with Embassies
  • The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel (existing relationships may be advantageous)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Has managed travel for a company of people
  • A basic understanding of Geography
  • Proven experience as corporate travel manager
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs and currencies
  • Knowledge of T&E reporting and processing
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • An analytical mind with strong business acumen with a customer-oriented approach
  • Training in travel and tourism is a plus
