Location: Chennai/Hyderabad/Gurugram and Bangalore

Principal Accountabilities: Key responsibilities and decision-making areas

  • Lead the Finance Change Delivery team in reviewing and prioritizing CCR IRR control review and redesign
  • Manage the control structure and reporting framework development
  • Streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency by identifying activities for potential offshoring
  • Contribute to a robust control framework compliant with IRR framework guidance
  • Address Excel/manual adjustment remediation
  • Maintain HSBC's reputation and uphold regulators' confidence in our practices

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with CCR production/reporting and IT/upstream teams to align system change timelines
  • Provide leadership and guidance to meet team objectives
  • Offer clear direction to teams regarding IRR guidance and process impacts
  • Engage in system enhancements necessary for IRR process improvements
  • Manage internal relationships with development teams and execution teams
  • Receive positive feedback from various business areas and contribute effectively in meetings and appraisals

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Proactively improve processes by analyzing IRR standards and proposing necessary enhancements
  • Assess resourcing needs and deploy the team accordingly
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks effectively and in compliance with regulatory expectations
  • Collaborate with various teams within Global Finance and other areas
  • Implement process and systems changes guided by IRR requirements
  • Lead the team in IRR enhancements, ensuring compliance with standards

Requirements

  • Detailed understanding of CCR Reporting process and calculation systems
  • Knowledge of accounting, consolidation issues, and regulatory developments
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and stress testing processes
  • Experience in regulatory reporting/change roles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and manage a team effectively
  • Preferably a qualified Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience in financial services
  • Experience in systems implementations and process redesign within CCR area
  • Thorough understanding of the UK & EU prudential regulatory framework
  • Strong IT awareness, analytical skills, and ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting purposes
