About Sensit Technologies(Crowcon):

Technologies designs, manufactures, and services products that protect life, property, and the environment from hazardous gases. Sensit offers a complete line of gas detection and monitoring equipment as well as an acoustic pipe locator for underground utility infrastructure. Recent product releases include the Gas-Trac hand-held and fixed-point instruments for the remote detection of methane, instruments for the monitoring of odorant in gas systems, and the natural gas industry's most complete line of products for improving the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of leak surveys.

Crowcon India team develops software applications for Web, Windows, and Mobile platforms, APIs, and firmware for Embedded devices as part of our Digital landscape. This position aims to add a dedicated QA role enhance our efforts to ship the best quality software and firmware to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software applications that communicate with our gas detection instruments developed by our organization.
  • Your role will involve developing tests and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as developers and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
  • You will play a vital role in testing and maintaining the integrity of the ecosystem. It is important to maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results, for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • You will take the initiative and lead efforts to implement automated testing gradually based on our applications.
  • You are also expected to support stakeholders and customers by answering their questions about our software and carry out basic support tasks such as password reset etc..

Mandatory skill set:

  • Ownership of end-to-end testing including documentation.
  • Analyze product requirements and derive test scenarios accordingly.
  • Develop and execute test cases including various types of testing as needed.
  • Identify and prioritize testing efforts based on key features and use cases.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the product are tested thoroughly.
  • Identify and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve them.

Experience:

  • 5 to 9 years of experience.

Academic qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, EC, or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on Web, Windows and mobile apps and API testing.
  • ISTQB or relevant software testing certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with various testing automation tools and bug reporting tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
