JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the design and detailing of hot runners in a production environment with a focus on 100% quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Engineer an entire hot runner from concept to release for all common molds using CAD and BaaN with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Follow wellestablished design rules and practices.
  • Work with manufacturing to help resolve production issues.
  • Maintain thorough job file documentation.
  • Check others' work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as improvements.
  • Demonstrate and maintain required quality, efficiency and ontime requirements.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Entrylevel 3D solid CAD experience.
  • Ability to organize a sequence of tasks on a project to meet commitment dates.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids and stress analysis (mechanical skills).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent jobrelated experience)
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mold Design with relavent experience.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years experience in Mechanical/Mold Design preferred
