Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant...Non-Financial Risk Reporting Team produces enterprise risk reporting and the executes related control activities.
The candidate will be Risk Analytics Consultant in this team.A successful candidate will have a solid background in data analytics, reporting, understanding, and utilizing Relational Databases and Data Warehouses, and be effective in querying and reporting on large and complex data sets.
This role will interface with the business stakeholders, data management teams, governance, and other teams.The candidate will apply business knowledge and advanced analytical skills to serve as an analyst, advisor, and consultant to our business partners; test and monitor model performance, perform custom data analysis, develop, and implement model, change management, and documentation.
In this role, you will:
Provide analytical support for a wide array of business initiatives.
Responsible for model development, productionize, documentation and monitoring model performance using technologies including but not limited to Python, SAS, Spark, and H2O etc.
Maintain documentation for implementation and monitoring processes across the team with focus on standardization of controls.Partner with internal business partners to frame the problem and define/identify business objectives.
Assesses and predicts risk and performance through business analysis and/or modeling. Collaboratively design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models using state of the art NLP and ML techniques.
Develops quantitative/qualitative models in areas such as forecasting, risk rating.
Develop dashboards to provide evaluation of any emerging or unexpected risk areas to enhance intelligence and facilitate faster decision making while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Analyzes big data and understand / monitor trends to provide actionable insights across a range of risk analytics initiatives.Develops comprehensive monitoring frameworks and dashboards and provide statistically sound diagnostic evaluation of any emerging or unexpected risk areas to enhance intelligence and facilitate faster decision making.
Develop complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases such as ORACLE, Teradata.Develop dynamic dashboards or visualizations to effectively communicate results of analysis and strategies.
Adhere to corporate model risk policy and ensure compliance with model risk management.
Contribute to team's priorities in sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
In conjunction with key subject matter experts (SME), ensure all standard and new reports are accurate, complete, and produced on time.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Expertise in one or more analytic tools like:
Python (with Anaconda), Scala, Java, Scripting, H2O, SAS, PySpark, PyTorchDemonstrate excellent organization skills throughout the development of analytical solutions (data analysis documentation, hypothesis documentation, code management, etc.).Data visualization and designing dashboard using Tableau, PowerBI.
Present findings to multiple levels of management, strong oral and written communication and consultative skills.Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
Data mining and Insights, trend Analysis, forecasting and pattern recognition and effectively communicate to the risk partners.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of banking industry and functional area of risk management in banking industry.
Strong operational and execution skills, with keen attention to detail.
Hands on experience writing data processing and data pipeline for model development including gathering and building datasets, joining, and aggregating source datasets, cleaning messy data.
Experience with model governance requirements. Able to de-mystify AI models to make them transparent and explainable.Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships.
Agile experience, project management experience.
