Learning Consultant (Permanent Role)
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Learning consulting
Role and Responsibilities:
The role of a Learning Consultant is to utilize knowledge of adult learning and learning sciences and apply learning design standards, so client receives optimum results from investments in learning solutions
Responsibilities include:
- Review the business objectives of a learning request
- Validate the request addresses a real learning need
- Educate and coach on leading practices
- Support the learning needs analysis (LNA) by gathering additional data (e
g:
audience analysis, task analysis, learning activity reports, learner and facilitator feedback, etc.)
- Evaluate preliminary learning solution ideas and offer additional input for the learning design concept
- Support the learning design process by applying design thinking, leading practices, and experience with similar learning solutions
- Confirm the budget is sufficient for designing, developing, and deploying an effective learning solution
- Assess capabilities of learning solution providers (vendors), identify alternative vendors, assist in vendor selection, and liaise between client and vendor when necessary
- Suggest measurement strategy that demonstrates business impact of the learning solution
- Manage project quality and support continuous improvement process
- Collaborate across Client learning teams & vendors
- Acting as a connector to key initiatives
