Job Overview


Commission communications software and hardware on new and existing machines, ensure data links are maintained and support customers with any link issues.

Provide accurate and timely Smart Services reports for customers and for internal use (daily, weekly, monthly, six monthly and yearly).Monitor equipment health and processes, interpret data, analyze results and interface with customers sharing areas for focus and improvement in line with service agreements, service bulletins.

Lead and participate in customer meetings and underground visits.

Capture issues in Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce), ensuring proper close-out of issues together with potential value added allowing case studies to be built for marketing purposes.

Key Job Responsibilities

Providing holistic engineering support for On-Line Comms Hardware and Software.

  • Maintaining Analytic platform and calibrations on ACS for production KPI reports
  • Technical "ownership" of all communications systems; RMM, JSRP, drawings, bills of material and specifications on all KMC Global equipment.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Perform data collection, analysis, validation, cleansing, and reporting.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Creates and publishes regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyzing product (KMC mining products) performance (functionality vs performance specifications and typical problems).
  • Regular communication with KMC Product Engineering on equipment performance, safety and problem solving, by means of verbal communication and / or regular reports.
  • Ensure that customer support receives the highest priority and manage productivity analysis to provide the required support, training, and interfacing with the customers.
  • Monitoring and reporting on communication links to monitored equipment.
  • Monitoring and reporting on equipment health and processes.
  • Analyzing trends and equipment data to identify possible developing faults or bad practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting on production trends.
  • Compiling dashboards and reports as required.
  • Liaise closely with US/RSA counterparts in system performance ,technical support and enhancements.
  • Continuous communication to and interaction with rest of departments (Performance optimization, Training, Engineering, Condition Monitoring, CPT, FMC, and Warehouse).
  • Maintain list of issues and impact for each shift (improvements made, recommendations made, time or money savings for mine or increased production) in Customer Relationship Management tool.
Qualifications/Requirements

A bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Hands on experience in maintenance & remote health monitoring is required.

English proficiency is required.5 years of experience in product management, Production management, Product maintenance, application engineering,10 years' experience in UG mining equipment Operation & Maintenance.

Strong business acumen, global mindset, ability to do strategic planning and also hands-on to executeStrong interpersonal skills, excellent communicator, and influencer.

Innovative, have courage to challenge status quo and able to drive change.
Comfortable working in a matrix environment and work collaboratively to deliver results.
Leadership of effective Change Management implementation, highly desired.
