Job Description :


We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist to be part of our team and have a significant impact on the improvement and maintenance of our complete 834 EDI solution.

This position goes beyond the ordinary EDI Specialist role of everyday client management.

Your expertise will be essential in designing and rethinking a new EDI process, as well as contributing to the development and testing of such a system.

Responsibilities :

  • Set up EDI systems and tools for data mapping, translation, validation, and transmission, ensuring conformity with industry standards and rules.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including software engineers, data engineers, and subject matter experts, to embed EDI capabilities into our inclusive healthcare data management platform.
  • Create and update EDI maps, schemas, and agreements with trading partners to enable the interchange of structured data among healthcare payers, providers, and other organizations.
  • Solve problems and address issues concerning the implementation of the EDI system, such as data validation inaccuracies, transmission problems, and compliance inconsistencies.
  • Stay informed about the latest EDI standards, technologies, and best practices for encouraging innovation and ongoing enhancement of EDI processing capabilities.
  • Offer technical knowledge and guidance to internal teams and external collaborators on EDI-related inquiries, training, and other issues.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) as an EDI Specialist, EDI Developer, or similar position, with a solid grasp of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and protocols.
  • Proficiency in healthcare EDI transactions, particularly the 834 transaction set for enrollment and eligibility data, is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, and previous experience implementing EDI solutions in the healthcare sector or a related field, is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
