Job Description :
We are seeking a talented and experienced EDI Specialist to join our team and play a key role in the development and maintenance of our end-to-end 834 EDI solution. This is not your typical EDI Specialist role where you will be managing day to day client work. Instead, you will use your experience to architect and reimagine a new EDI process and help drive the development and testing of such a system.
Responsibilities :
- Configure EDI systems and tools for data mapping, translation, validation, and transmission, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers, and domain experts, to integrate EDI capabilities into our comprehensive healthcare data management platform.
- Develop and maintain EDI maps, schemas, and trading partner agreements to facilitate the exchange of structured data between healthcare payers, providers, and other entities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the EDI system buildout, including data validation errors, transmission failures, and compliance discrepancies.
- Stay updated on emerging EDI standards, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in EDI processing capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external partners regarding EDI-related inquiries, training, and :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an EDI Specialist, EDI Developer, or similar role, with a strong understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and protocols.
- Experience with healthcare EDI transactions, particularly the 834 transaction set for enrollment and eligibility data, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, and experience implementing EDI solutions in a healthcare or related industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
