**Network Operations Center (NOC) Operator with Tidal Experience **

We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Operator with experience in Tidal, a job scheduling software, to join our team. The NOC Operator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and promptly responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in utilizing Tidal for scheduling and automation tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network infrastructure and systems using monitoring tools and Tidal software to ensure uptime, performance, and availability.
  • Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system backups, software updates, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, and software developers to address complex issues and implement solutions.
  • Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for NOC operations and Tidal workflows.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior NOC staff as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to network operations and job scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Tidal or similar job scheduling software for automating tasks and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for 24/7 operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with other job scheduling and automation tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and IT service management processes.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
