Nike is looking for a Lead Brand Protection (BP) to manage the brand protection operations in India. The role is based in Nike India office in Bangalore or New Delhi and reports to the Senior Director of APAC Brand Protection.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Lead Brand Protection Manager to lead the Indian enforcement strategy. The Lead Brand Protection Manager should be able to work with the Global BP team, the intelligence center and other territory Brand Protection Managers closely to lead investigations and provide guidance to the field investigations.

Across Nike Inc., you will identify opportunities to better integrate Brand Protection into other NIKE functions, including broader IP teams, security teams, marketplace team, GPA and supply chain groups. With exposure to data and intelligence support, business trends analysis, field experiences, IP law and more, the skillsets acquired are vast and prove essential in the ever-changing business landscape. You will be the key person of driving Indian BP enforcement strategy

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role will work on managing the all-round Brand Protection matters in India and devising and implementing the BP strategy in line with Nike's Global BP strategy and the regional business development plan, with key responsibilities including-

Updating and implementing the BP strategy for India in line with Nike's Global BP strategy Managing external investigators and coordinating activity Developing relationships with Law Enforcement Agencies and assisting them in relation to criminal investigations Producing timely and accurate responses to requests for product identification Working with Nike Inc.'s Legal Department and outside counsel on BP related legal matters. Maintaining data bases ensuring accurate recording of intelligence, seizures etc. Providing training on product identification to outside agencies Managing the BP budget, ensuring value for money and allocating resources appropriately. Supporting the broader IP/BP team, security team, grey market management team on ad hoc requests of cross-function digital investigation, enforcement, and litigation matters.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA's) and pro-actively gathering intelligence and carrying out investigations into IPR related offences. They will work closely with investigators, outside counsel and LEA's to protect the Nike Brands and act against those who infringe our intellectual property rights. Internally, this person will collaborate with the cross-functional teams including the country legal counsel, GPA, marketplace and the global IP teams. Strong teamwork spirit is a must.

WHAT YOU BRING

College degree and minimum 5 years' experience on brand protection Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make sound decisions that complement business goals; ability to prioritize heavy workload and delegate effectively. A good understanding of anti-counterfeiting legislation and law enforcement practices Experience with Police, other investigative units of Law Enforcement Agencies or in a BP role with a global brand is strongly preferred Experience with presentations and project management required Capacity to quickly understand new information and situations Ability to gain acceptance of ideas where planning, presentation and persuasion skills are needed. Ability to facilitate and negotiate effectively A high level of integrity and enthusiasm Good leadership skills and the ability to build effective internal and external networks Strong communication skills, both in oral and written English. Experience creating and presenting highly effective presentations. Ability to work collaboratively toward a common goal. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
