ROC Overview

Relay Operations Center (ROC) serves as the main hub for 'Transportation Execution' within the Amazon Supply Chain network, focusing on the EU region.

Its main objective is to ensure seamless and on-time transportation of goods from suppliers to Amazon facilities and carrier hubs. In case of any issues, the ROC intervenes to provide solutions and keeps all involved parties updated.

Additionally, the ROC is responsible for analyzing network trends, automating processes, and suggesting improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Playing a crucial role in Amazon's transportation operations, the ROC directly influences the company's ability to deliver orders promptly to customers.


Duties of a Supply Chain Manager at ROC:

As a Supply Chain Manager, the individual acts as a subject matter expert, facilitating communication among various parties (Transport Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolving issues that may impact customer satisfaction and business continuity.

The ideal candidate should possess a fundamental understanding of logistics, excel in written and verbal communication, drive process enhancements, and be proficient in SQL, R/Python scripting.



  • Engage in communication with both external (Carriers, Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Proficiency in data extraction from multiple databases (Excel, Access, SQL, etc.) for reporting and analysis
  • Develop and interpret performance metrics to drive business outcomes
  • Define business and functional requirements for Amazon's tech teams to improve software tools used by the ROC
  • Analyze trends to make informed decisions backed by data
  • Address information discrepancies by escalating them to respective teams and ensuring timely resolutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of program or project management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Proficiency in Excel with pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SQL
Skills in requirement gathering and documentation
Master's degree or equivalent
