Deputy Manager Consolidation

Preparation of the MGG's consolidated IFRS results, including review of BU inputs, eliminations and consolidation adjustments. Production of quarterly consolidation reporting to the Group finance team. Support the preparation of the MGG's IFRS financial statements, including a number of notes to the Interim and Annual accounts, produced to auditable standards. Support the Group consolidation system and change processes in relation to IFRS requirements. Support the delivery of finance change projects that impact on the consolidation process, including user acceptance testing if any changes. Support the delivery of initiatives required to ensure Group reporting processes meet all reporting and control requirements of a listed plc. Develop and maintain effective working relationships within M&G Finance and the wider Finance community. Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills:

Sound planning and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to build strong and reliable relationships of trust with internal and external stakeholders. Able to use intuitive reasoning to solve problems. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Maintain own professional competence. Have strong technical ability. Should be comfortable working as part of a team and capable of managing tasks independently. Strong interest in automation and process improvements. Ability to quickly adapt to new and evolving situations.

Experience:

Experience of the production and delivery of consolidation processes in an asset management or other financial services organisation would be advantageous IFRS reporting experience essential Prior experience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accounting Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with SQL is desirable. Working knowledge of SUN, Tagetik, Oracle ERP and Power BI an advantage

Educational Qualification:

Qualified accountant, with experience in a financial reporting environment.
