About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands onexperience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management demonstrated through work or military experience
  • Point of contact for WIM Ops as it pertains to RCSA execution and Issue management.
  • Solid product and services knowledge e.g., Asset Servicing, Cash Management, etc.
  • Coordinates with lead BCM and Business
  • Communication and coordination with various stakeholders
  • Program knowledge will be an advantage
  • Collaborate with WIM Ops managers on control design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with WIM Ops to identify, open, monitor, close and validate all Issues, according to policy.
  • Candidate must be a Bachelor's Degree holder or higher
  • A deep understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
  • Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and policies across risk types (regulatory, financial crimes, credit, operational, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively collaborate with all organizational and leadership levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are a must.
  • Solid product and services knowledge e.g., Asset Servicing, Cash Management, etc.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills / experience with various stakeholders
  • Program knowledge will be an advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk applications i.e. Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) and Service Now (SNOW) will be an advantage
  • Ability to synthesize data and/or observations from a variety of, often disparate and unconnected, sources, deliver succinct summaries (both verbal and written), and enact responses quickly.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ethical integrity and demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles.
