Position Purpose

The role holder is responsible for developing and implementing talent management strategies, policies and programs in alignment with business goals. This role will be custodian for processes such as Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, leadership development etc. to ensure talent availability and readiness.

Strategic Responsibilities

Role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing talent management strategies, policies and programs in alignment with business goals and people strategy. The role will also be accountable for understanding market best practices, tools available etc. to build a sustainable talent road map for the organization.

Operational Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain talent management budget Analyse talent / skills gaps and prepare a plan to build organizational capability Actively contribute to the implementation of development initiatives that are aligned with current and forward looking enterprise needs, employee development plans and individual line of business objectives Map career paths and create movement opportunities, policies, processes for same Create Succession plans for critical roles across the organization and keep a view of talent risks Collaborate with L & D specialists to develop learning interventions for respective business groups for high potential employees, coaching, leadership development etc. Manage and review data for effectiveness of interventions and audits Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements in support of talent management programs. Initiate, nurture and leverage strong relationships with HR business partners and business leaders in order to understand the short and long term needs of the business and their relative priority on matters related to talent management

Learning Tools & Technology : Support implementation of SuccessFactors Talent and Succession Planning modules, drive process changes etc.

MIS & Reporting : Design & implement MIS & dashboard to report relevant metrics for Talent processes

Financial Responsibilities

Negotiate best rates with external vendors/consulting firms to support TM initiatives. Effectively implement all TM initiatives within allocated budgets across PI.

People Responsibilities

Lead professional learning & development by attending internal / external trainings. Conduct performance assessments & provide feedback on strengths & development areas to team members

Education Qualification

Post graduate / PGDBA / MBA (HR)

Certifications in OD / competency modelling etc. will be an added advantage

Work Experience

Overall 8-10 years of experience with at least 3-4 years of experience in Talent management / Organization development Demonstrated experience in the design, development and implementation of talent management and leadership development programs Relevant experience from similar / related industries would be preferred

Industry to be Hired from

Agri / Chemical/ Pharma industry. Experience working in large Corporate / MNC driving TM process is preferred

Functional Competencies

In depth Knowledge of Talent Management, Leadership development, Succession Planning, Design of interventions; deployments of initiatives in matrixed organization, and training models (ADDIE). Data interpretation & analysis capabilities Working knowledge of Process Documentation & Audits
