What you'll be doing

  • Work on Analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of code on various servers like Prod, test, dev.
  • Run monthly reconciliation reports using Oracle DB.
  • Provide support and resolve issues from the backend DB.
  • Design, code, test, and deliver automation projects for Telco Inventory.
  • Run invoice processes to send upload files to STARS during team member absences to avoid late payment charges to BT.
  • Address queries and requirements for invoice/SQL module.
  • Participate in the design for voice account rollout in STARS.
  • Prepare and share high-level discrepancy, YTD, and suspense reports for all countries for different stakeholders.
  • Ensure a robust and repeatable process for monthly data transformation and updating of inventory and invoice data.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy for all changes following business rules.
  • Handle high-level queries and issues for the entities on STARS.
  • Enhance data processing productivity without compromising quality using automation and optimizing resource usage.
  • Resolve issues raised by country Finance Team, Inventory teams, AP team, STARS upload team, and Invoice validation teams.
  • Implement 100% backup plans to ensure smooth process functioning.
  • Conduct gap analysis of data received from In country whenever it deviates from the defined format or specified list of values.
  • Acknowledge all queries timely and resolve discrepancies within TAT accurately and appropriately.
  • Focus on process improvement and adherence to quality standards.

Skills & Experience required for the role-

  • Commercial and business awareness

  • Analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
  • Knowledge about SDLC
  • MS Excel proficiency with formulas and VB coding
  • MS Access ability to write SQL Queries, code in VB, and create forms
  • Oracle DB proficiency in writing SQL Queries, coding in PL/SQL, knowledge of stored procedures, functions, views, and SQL Developer
  • SharePoint knowledge is beneficial
  • Toughness in discussions with suppliers

Other skills beneficial for the role:

  • Good knowledge of BT order processes
  • Good knowledge of Telco products and inventory data
  • Understanding of BT internal trading processes and rules
  • Understanding basic accounting concepts like accruals, cost allocation
