We are a full-stack financial services organisation, committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of the payment and banking journey for any business. Over the past year, we've disbursed loans worth millions of dollars in loans to thousands of businesses. In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X ) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital ).

The Role:

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance, will oversee and manage the compliance function within the organization, ensuring adherence to legal standards and internal policies. This role specifically requires a background in compliance or internal audit functions within a bank or non-banking financial company (NBFC). The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments and internal/sprint audits, and liaising with regulatory bodies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Compliance Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor an effective compliance program applicable for a Regulated entity.
  • Regularly update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Liaison:

  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies specific to the regulated business(s).
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports accurately and on time.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable regulations.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments focusing on PA and PPI-specific risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues to senior management.

Training and Education:

  • Develop and deliver targeted compliance training programs for employees, emphasizing RBI regulations.
  • Ensure all employees understand their compliance responsibilities and the implications of non-compliance.

Policy Development:

  • Draft and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current banking/NBFC regulations.
  • Ensure policies reflect best practices and are effectively communicated across the organization.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with departments such as Tech, product, legal, finance, HR, and operations to ensure organization-wide compliance.
  • Support the implementation of compliance-related projects and initiatives.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive compliance reports to senior management and the board.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all compliance activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement within the compliance function.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory developments in the banking/NBFC sector.
  • Go getter and ready to work independently to get things done.
  • Adopt a balanced and structured view to approach the problem and solve in the best interest of Company

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance or internal audit functions within a bank or NBFC.
  • Proven experience in managing compliance programs and interacting with regulatory bodies in the banking/NBFC sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements especially KYC and industry best practices specific to banking/NBFC.
