About Wholesale Banking Coverage Group

  • The Wholesale Banking Coverage Group (WBCG) focusses on doing business with customers such as the Government, Strategic, large and midcorporates and the SMEs across industries like Infrastructure, Engineering, Chemicals, Oil& Gas, Metals, têxtiles etc. The Corporate lending business emphasizes on doing business with higher rated corporates with a focus on garnering a higher share of the cash flows by providing working capital facilities.

    Role
Sales Planning team within GCG, is responsible for driving business development through RM/State Heads.

It also acts as the think-tank of the business group foraying and finding new business opportunities, evaluating them and finally deploying them as projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liasioning with the RMs/State Heads to understand the ground realities of the market and deliver superior customer requirements and customized product offerings to Govt. Clients.
  • Determining profitability of business proposals based on information provided by RMs through CBA tools.
  • Critical thinking in terms of identifying new markets and opportunities in Government Banking Space.
  • Ensuring better Business drives and Product offerings by streamlining processes to improve customer, frontline and operations experience.
  • Working on RFPs, Govt. Tenders and Bid based mandates to understand the business requirements, and design of business solution
  • Coordination with Internal Products and IT Teams. GCG point of contact for internal coordination for L&D exercise, R&R and Strategic Meets.
  • Coowning and driving GCG focus segments (Education, Health and Central Sector Schemes) through VD projects.
  • Implementation of P1 and P2 level project of the bank

Qualifications
