OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To oversee activities related to the Record to Report process for countries of medium to high complexity assigned to the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer journal entry process and templates
  • Perform mass upload
  • Perform Manual posting
  • Reverse accruals
  • Administer process and templates for fixed asset requests
  • Perform asset accounting
  • Book lease journals
  • Prepare, publish, and monitor month-end closing calendar
  • Perform period closing tasks
  • Prepare period cost accruals, amortization, and reclasses
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statement
  • Prepare asset subledger to general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare other BS Reconciliations
  • Prepare FI-CO Reconciliation
  • Perform open item clearing in balance sheet ledgers
  • Perform internal control checks
  • Publish SLA compliance
  • Publish process KPIs
  • Perform reviews with units
  • Prepare hard close and year-end audit schedules
  • Publish reporting packs
  • Adhere to set Standard Operating Procedures in the execution of activities
  • Adhere to set internal controls in the execution of activities
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis on all critical issues/errors reported, track and close corrective and preventive actions
  • Track changes to the processes and ensure SOPs are kept updated
  • Train new entrants to the process
  • Actively contribute to the development, integration, and transfer of processes and teams from different Regions to GFC
  • Actively contribute to the standardization of the Record To Report processes in the assigned country/countries
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable and timely information to the units
  • Build and maintain healthy rapport and trust with all up-stream and down-stream stakeholders in the process
  • Actively contribute towards strategic initiatives and special projects as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

Graduate or Post-Graduate in Accounting/Finance

Language: English (mandatory)

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Team playing skills
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

  • Good understanding of accounting
  • Basic skills in accounting tools

Desirable

  • Exposure to ERPs
