PRIMARY PURPOSE


This position has primary responsibility for the end to end delivery of testing services within the Digital and Technology department.


This includes:

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of an End to End test methodology for the Digital and Technology department.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of all test phases for projects and BAU activities within the Digital and Technology department.
  • Responsible for closely working with functional and technical teams to triage any issues / bugs across various phases of testing
  • Responsible for ensuring that the test function is appropriately resourced
  • Responsible for the management of vendor resource productivity, capacity and quality of outcomes
  • Responsible for ensuring that testing timeframes are met and are completed with appropriate quality
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (5 – 8 Max)

Test Framework Development

Responsible for the development and maintenance of an End to End test methodology for the Digital and Technology department

o Work collaboratively across the Digital and Technology department to understand areas of improvement

o Define the ideal end state test methodology, including (but not limited to) definition of:

§ Phases of testing,

§ Approaches to testing,

§ Testing toolsets

o Define and execute the strategy to implement the end state test methodology

Test Management

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of all test phases for projects and BAU activities within the Digital and Technology department.
o Effectively plan and execute multiple streams of testing activities (upgrades, projects and BAU fixes etc)

o Work closely with Project Managers to build E2E test schedule Incl. UAT

o Hold sessions UAT SMEs including internal technical team and communicate plans

o Ensure environments are secured with appropriate test data and integration to help support UAT activities

o Ensure timely code merges and adequate regression testing

o Co-ordinate and triage bugs / issues with technical and functional teams

o Ensure right tool sets with skillset in place to perform on-going testing activities including functional and non-functional testing

o Ensure that testing timeframes are met and are completed with appropriate quality

  • Responsible for ensuring that the test function is appropriately resourced
o Resource capacity forecasting and planning

o Vendor resource onboarding and ongoing management

o Review Vendor SOWs and track financials

o Management of vendor resource productivity, capacity and quality of outcomes

EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Test management with experience across functional, non-functional testing, vendor management and automation
  • Exposure to Performance and Automation testing tools and processes
  • Exposure to Service, Release and Change Management processes
  • Broad Experience with Testing methodologies, testing types, processes and practices.
  • Extensive experience working in an IT environment including working to standards such as ITIL and with common test Management tools in an integrated environment.
Proven experience working in complex business environments with multiple locations and supporting internal customers with high expectations
