Job Overview:
At Zelis, the NOC Engineer plays a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the organization's computer networks. They are responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network performance and ensure the availability of all network components.
  • Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Identify and resolve network issues, both proactively and reactively.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
  • Document and track incidents, ensuring that they are resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Communicate effectively with endusers and stakeholders during incident resolution.
  • Monitor network security systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
  • Manage and maintain network configurations.
  • Implement changes and updates to network devices as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improving network performance and efficiency.
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall network reliability.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to address networkrelated issues and implement changes.
  • Participate in an oncall rotation to provide 24/7 support for networkrelated incidents.

Qualifications:

  • 35 Yeas relevant experience in NOC
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.
  • Proven experience in network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
