Please Note:This is a Remote Job (But Travel Required)Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of the Senior Developer and Database Administrator teams.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor risk factors and implement contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in IT project management.
- Proven experience leading technical teams, particularly those working with mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
- Must have project Lifecyle experience, some level of mainframe experience.
- Experience with Endevor.
- Experience in a government or defense-related environment.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in modernization of a system, most likely financial system.
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
