Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement engineer with expertise in sourcing andprocuring components for solar energy systems The ideal candidate will have a strongunderstanding of technical specifications related to solar panels, solar inverters, batteries, wires, andrelated accessories.

along with a proven track record in vendor development, negotiation, andcontract management. This role requires the ability to develop new vendor relationships, draftcontracts, and optimize procurement systems for multiple outlet operations.

Responsibilities:


Procurement of Solar System Components : Lead the procurement process for componentsrequired for solar energy systems and electric scooters, including solar panels, solar inverters,batteries, and electric scooter units.

Source suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing andterms to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Vendor Development:

Identify and develop relationships with new vendors and suppliers capable ofsupplying quality components for solar systems and electric scooters.

Evaluate vendor capabilities,conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.

Technical Understanding:
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the technical specificationsand requirements for solar energy systems and electric scooters. Collaborate with engineering andproduct teams to ensure that procurement decisions align with product specifications andperformance standards.

Contract Drafting and Preparation:
Draft and prepare procurement contracts, purchase orders, andsupplier agreements.

Define terms and conditions, delivery schedules, quality standards, andpayment terms to protect the interests of the company and ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements.


Multiple Outlet Operations:
Develop procurement systems and processes tailored to supportoperations across multiple outlets.

Coordinate with store managers and operational teams toforecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of components to meetoperational requirements.


Negotiation and Cost Management:
Negotiate pricing, discounts, and contractual terms withvendors to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the organization. Implement cost-savinginitiatives, vendor consolidation strategies, and volume discounts to optimize procurementexpenditure.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers andvendors. Monitor supplier performance, address issues or concerns promptly, and collaborate withvendors to resolve quality, delivery, or service-related issues.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/ Solar Engineering /Business Administration, Supply ChainManagement, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on sourcing components for solarenergy systems and electric scooters.

Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems, solar inverters, batteries, and electricscooters, including relevant specifications and standards.
Proven experience in vendor development, contract negotiation, and contract management.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade suppliers to achieve favorableterms.
Proficiency in contract drafting, preparation, and management.
Experience in developing procurement systems for multiple outlet operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost management and efficiencyoptimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively acrossdepartments and levels of the organization.
