Summary / Role PurposeJoin the Ansys Customer Excellence team to assist our customers with all aspects of their real-world engineering simulation projects and the integration of Ansys software into their design workflows, while also contributing to the growth of Ansys' business. By utilizing your engineering expertise, you will deliver technical post-sales support, address a wide range of technical challenges, and relay customer feedback to enhance Ansys products. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize engineering knowledge and electromagnetic simulation techniques (applications such as power electronics design, electric machines, actuators, and transformers for their electromagnetic performance) to offer top-tier technical support to customers and Channel Partners, ensuring timely and high-quality customer service that enhances customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Engage with customers to diagnose issues, conduct research, and find solutions to a wide array of complex problems
  • Formulate simulation best practices, solutions, and FAQs for a knowledge base
  • Enhance technical proficiency in one or multiple simulation areas
  • Provide input for product enhancement, when necessary. Submit defect reports and validate fixes following defect reporting procedures.
  • Participate in application field testing of new releases to guarantee that new features and workflows meet customer needs
  • Conduct training sessions on the utilization of ANSYS simulation products as needed
  • Engage in other strategic team and company ventures as required

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Solid understanding of electromagnetic field theory, power electronics, and electric machines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to implement numerical models for practical engineering solutions to challenging problems
  • Charismatic personality, engineering curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a diverse team setting
  • Effective problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, proficient in written and verbal English
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a sense of urgency
  • Projects a professional demeanor and demonstrates business acumen with a drive for success
  • Interest in working with customers and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • MS/MTech degree preferred
  • Experience in utilizing commercial or proprietary electromagnetics software for real-world industry-level applications
  • Background in participating in the engineering product development cycle is advantageous
