The position

As a Medical Manager Rare Disease, you will contribute actively to the implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy in the country. Be a specialist in the therapy area and allotted product/portfolio and other relevant products. You will work in collaboration with commercial teams to drive medical education and scientific dialogue for products and therapy area. You will also facilitate organisational readiness and external scientific advocacy for new product launches in close collaboration with commercial teams. The role will be reporting to the Senior Medical Manager. You will also be responsible to –

Manage and develop a high-performing regional medical advisors (RMA) team. Facilitate a learning culture and focus on the professional and personal development of your team members. Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure the RMA team supports business requirements. Coordinate national medical strategies with local strategies to convey a credible and compliant scientific message to the medical community. Support clinical operations team in submissions and approvals, site selection, and recruitment. To assist in ensuring that all promotional activities and NNIPL product labels and packaging conform to regulatory laws and directions. Effective performance management – Goal setting, performance dialogues and timely constructive feedback to RMAs. Responsible for initiating hiring, transfer, promotion and exit actions in AskHr system. Maintain strong product & therapy area knowledge for self and RMA team through journal clubs, trainings, and other discussions. Foresee the challenges by competitors' products, activities or changing market dynamics and make/support timely corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

MD/MS in Pharmacology or equivalent (desired) from a reputed institution. Minimum 5 years of medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the therapy area of hemophilia/growth disorders. Strong scientific knowledge and interest in chronic and rare diseases and products. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Strategic and analytical capabilities with experience in analyzing complex situations. Strong planning, execution, and follow-up skills. Creative and innovative attitude to drive initiatives with operational excellence in mind.
