Job Description:
At Toddle, our goal is to assist schools globally in enhancing the learning experience.
  • We are a team of 2x founders who established a network of preschools and schools in India before starting Toddle.
  • We still manage these educational institutions, giving us valuable insights into the challenges faced by schools.
  • We believe that impactful changes in education can be achieved through enhancing schools.
  • Schools are crucial as children spend the majority of their learning time there, and they play a vital role in our society beyond academics.
  • While many Edtech companies focus on external education solutions, we concentrate on elevating our existing school system.
  • Our primary offering is a platform for teaching teams, positioning Toddle as essential for teaching, similar to Figma for design.

About the Lead Product Designer Role:
  • 'Good design is as little design as Possible' - Dieter Rams.
  • Design is a fundamental strength at Toddle, and as a Product Designer, you will lead this aspect.
  • Our designers are creators and storytellers, shaping user experiences into inspiring, polished, even enchanting designs.

The ideal candidate:
  • Shows a passion for designing educational solutions, understands the distinction between 'good' and 'excellent,' and can navigate team dynamics efficiently to deliver top-tier designs.
  • Capable of producing detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to convey design concepts effectively.
  • Brings a wealth of experience in product development, from issue identification to intricate user interface and visual design.
  • Embraces new ideas and ways of collaboration with optimism.
  • Has previous experience in digital product design, particularly in the SaaS/B2B sector.

Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of experience in web and mobile design.
  • Formal design education.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.

First three months objectives:
  • Grasp Toddle's vision and product strategy.
  • Familiarize with the International Baccalaureate educational framework.
  • Understand the design team's processes, tools, and systems.
  • Engage in design evaluations and provide input on colleagues' work.
  • Explore Toddle's Web app, Educator app, Family app, and Student app thoroughly.
  • Gain insights into user needs through research and interactions with educators and school leaders.

Six months objectives:
  • Research, design, and launch a product feature independently.
  • Lead the design phase and collaborate with product and engineering teams for a successful product release.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their design and interpersonal skills.

Twelve months objectives:
  • Lead the definition and design of a new product initiative.
  • Translate company vision into innovative product development.
  • Advocate for user needs and contribute to talent acquisition and team growth.
